05 / ORGANIZE
Sort lines.
Alphabetize a list, sort numbered items naturally or reverse its order.
USING THE TOOL
Sort lines, explained.
- Paste the list with one item per line.
- Choose an order. Natural number order puts Item 2 before Item 10.
- Sort and compare the result before copying.
Alphabetical sorting uses English locale collation and keeps duplicates. Equal items retain their relative order. Reverse original order simply flips the list. This tool sorts whole lines, not spreadsheet columns, and punctuation or accented-letter order may differ from another app.
Can I sort a CSV by its second column?
No. Each line is treated as one item. Use a spreadsheet for column-aware sorting and quoted CSV values.
