URL slug generator.
Turn a title into a compact, readable URL path segment.
USING THE TOOL
URL slug generator, explained.
- Paste one title or short phrase.
- Choose Unicode or ASCII characters and a separator.
- Generate the slug and review it before using it in a URL.
The slug is lowercased, punctuation becomes separators and repeated separators are collapsed. Unicode mode keeps international letters. ASCII mode removes accent marks and unsupported characters; it is not a transliteration service. This does not check availability, reserve a URL or guarantee search ranking.
Why is my ASCII slug empty?
Titles containing only non-Latin letters can become empty in ASCII mode. Use Unicode mode or provide your own Latin-script spelling.
